At the Regular Council Meeting on Monday, October 14, 2025, Council will consider first, second and third readings of Bylaw 6050, 8734 Okanagan Landing Road Zoning Amendment Bylaw 6050, 2025. This bylaw proposes to rezone the property located at 8734 Okanagan Landing Rd from AGRS – Agricultural & Rural: Small Block (Non-ALR) to MUS – Multi-Unit: Small Scale and PANS – Parks & Natural Spaces to allow for small scale multi-unit housing and a public beach access.
As per Section 464(3) of the Local Government Act, a public hearing will not be held because:
• An Official Community Plan (OCP) is in effect for this area.
• The bylaw is consistent with the OCP.
• The purpose of the bylaw is to allow residential development.
