The City of Vernon initiated a playground renewal project at 19 Avenue Park, located at 1904 19th Avenue. This high-priority initiative aims to replace the existing playground facilities.
The project began on July 7, and we’re excited to share that the playground replacement project is now fully complete! Crews will be removing all temporary fencing by Wednesday, August 27, but in the meantime, the park is already open and ready for visitors to enjoy the new improvements. As final cleanup wraps up, full access to every area of the park will be restored by the end of the week—just in time for weekend fun!
Background:
Guided by the Parks Master Plan and the Parks Asset Management Plan, the project will enhance the park’s play structures to enrich community enjoyment of the park. Funding is provided by the Growing Communities Fund.
