City of Vernon Encourages Online Services for Timely Utility, Property Tax and Business Licence Billing

News

Due to the ongoing Canada Post labour action, residents and business owners in Vernon may experience delays in receiving their utility bills, property tax notices, and business licence renewals by mail.

To ensure timely receipt of important billing information, the City of Vernon encourages property owners to sign up for MyCity, the City's online portal.

MyCity provides property owners with 24/7 access to their City of Vernon information, including utility bills, property taxes, and business licensing accounts. Through MyCity, users can view account balances and due dates, invoices, transaction history, and quarterly water usage and property assessments.

Once registered, users can also sign up for email billing (eBilling), update mailing addresses, access automatic withdrawal forms, and print copies of current or historical invoices and other account information.

The City of Vernon’s voluntary Utilities Auto Payments program allows customers to authorize the City to automatically withdraw their utility account balance on each billing due date (approximately every three months) for City services, including water, sewer, garbage collection, and recycling.

To enroll, customers must provide their bank account information, along with a void cheque or banking information.

Visit vernon.ca/mycity to register for MyCity and explore the convenience of these online services.

Please note that any unpaid utility balances as of December 31, 2024, will be transferred to your property tax account effective January 1, 2025.
