The City of Vernon brand identifiers, including the City of Vernon logo, the Vernon 125 logo, the City of Vernon crest, the Vernon Tourism logo, the City of Vernon “Activate Life” tagline, and guidelines for application are the property of the City of Vernon and can only be reproduced with the permission of the CAO or designate for the City of Vernon.
All requests for external use of any element of the City’s visual identity shall be submitted in writing to the CAO and must specifically describe the proposed use, including the context in which the symbol is to be used.
Elements of the City’s visual identity may not be used in connection with a business and may not be employed in such a manner as to suggest the City’s endorsement of or affiliation with a product or service without the express permission of the CAO or Designate.
Accredited print and electronic media can reproduce the City of Vernon logo for news items and articles, without prior permission.
Media or publishers cannot reproduce the City of Vernon logo in a special feature or “advertorial” supported by third party advertising, without the permission of the City of Vernon.
The logo shall be used in compliance with the Visual Identity Standards Guide, and it shall not be altered in any way or combined with other visual elements so as to create a new logo or symbol.
The City's name, logo, trademarks, text, notices, or images may not be modified, copied, obscured, removed or displayed without City of Vernon’s express written permission.
The term "City of Vernon," or any City of Vernon trademark or name of the Mayor, any City Councillor, or staff member, or any variation of the foregoing, may not be included as a meta-tag, hidden textual element, or any other indicator that creates an impression of affiliation, sponsorship, or endorsement by City of Vernon.
The official colours of the City of Vernon logo are Pantone 3272, Pantone 300, Pantone 368, Pantone 3415, Pantone 1235, and Pantone Orange 021. If the logo is reproduced in colour, the official colours must be used. The City of Vernon logo can be reproduced in black or white on a coloured background.
