The Community Safety Unit is part of the City of Vernon’s Protective Services team. Working alongside RCMP Community Safety Office (CSO) volunteers, the Unit focuses on crime prevention, public education, and building safer communities through outreach and partnership.
We work with residents, businesses, schools, and local organizations to reduce opportunities for crime through:
- Community education and workshops
- Public safety awareness programs
- Partnerships with social service agencies
- Crime prevention information and referrals
Our goal is simple: help people feel informed, supported, and safe in their community.
