11 a.m. Update: The evacuation order for residents of Adventure Bay has been rescinded. All roads are open and displaced residents are being advised that they can return home. No structures were affected by the fire.
Although all the fires are not yet extinguished, they are contained and crews from Vernon Fire Rescue Services and The Ministry of Forests, Lands and Natural Resource Operations are still mopping up. Helicopters are being used for water drops to aid in fighting the fire in challenging terrain.
A fire watch will be in place for 24 hours on the area.
