2026-19: VWRC Flood Mitigation

Following the VWRC Flood Hazard Assessment completed in 2023, several flood mitigation projects were identified and recommended over the next several years. The first recommendation was the bank armouring that was completed in 2025. The next recommendation is upsizing the crossing shown on the image below which is the deep lake outlet for when the spray irrigation is not in operation. The Flood Hazard Assessment identified this utility crossing is exposed during the design flood event.
