The Columbarium Development Project, as recommended in the 2018 Cemetery Master Plan, aims to design and construct a dignified, sustainable, and thoughtfully planned resting place for the interment of cremated remains. The project responds to the growing demand for memorial spaces that honour loved ones while making efficient use of limited urban land resources.
Located within a serene and landscaped setting, the columbarium will provide a peaceful environment for remembrance, reflection, and cultural heritage. The design incorporates both traditional and contemporary architectural elements to create a space that resonates with visitors of diverse backgrounds and beliefs.
Key features of the project include multiple niches arranged in elegant walls and structures, landscaped gardens, an accessible pathway, and a seating area for quiet reflection. Environmentally responsible materials and energy-efficient systems will be integrated to ensure long-term sustainability and low maintenance.
