Straight 8 Barbers is hosting its **First Annual Back-to-School Free Haircut Day** for students from Kindergarten through Grade 12.
Students are invited to visit Straight 8 Barbers Vernon on Friday, August 28 from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM for a free back-to-school haircut.
The event is **walk-in only**, with no pre-booked appointments. Free haircuts will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis during event hours, subject to barber availability and capacity.
With the theme “Fresh Cuts. Big Smiles. Ready for School.”, the event is designed to help local students start the new school year looking fresh and feeling confident.
Straight 8 will also be collecting **non-perishable food donations for the Vernon Community Foodbank**. Donations are appreciated but are not required to receive a free haircut.
After their haircut, students can sit in the Straight 8 race car for a back-to-school photo. A photographer will be on site, and parents and guardians are also welcome to take their own photos. https://straight8barbershop.ca/
