Council had an opportunity to meet with Senior RCMP Officers and Bylaw Compliance Officers to thoroughly discuss public safety in our community, reviewing a wide range of carefully assessed and accurate information.
Council is confident in the professional work of our RCMP Officers and our community commitment to an integrated approach which draws together Police services, numerous social agencies, Bylaw Officers and volunteers to address the many challenging issues that we face. Vernon is a comparatively safe, attractive family community. Criminal incidents do occur. This is unfortunate and as a community we must, and will continue to address the undesirable and unacceptable activity that occurs in our community as we always have.
