At the City of Vernon, we’re committed to creating safe, inclusive and welcoming recreation spaces for everyone. Our Recreation Services Facility Code of Conduct sets out clear expectations so all users can enjoy their time with us.
Here’s what you need to know:
- Staff are here to help. Our staff are trained and empowered to respond to concerns and enforce facility rules. If you have a problem or see something concerning, talk to a staff member as soon as possible. Please don’t confront other users directly.
- Everyone is welcome here. Our recreation programs and facilities are for all community members.
- Respect is expected. Treat staff and other users with courtesy. Use respectful, kind and inclusive language and behaviour.
- Follow the rules. The Code of Conduct helps keep everyone safe. Please follow posted rules and staff directions.
- Share the space. Be mindful of time limits, equipment safety and cleanliness.
Everyone must follow the Code of Conduct
All users are expected to follow the City of Vernon’s Recreation Facilities Code of Conduct. Inappropriate behaviour, including bullying, harassment, discrimination, vandalism or ignoring staff direction, will not be tolerated.
