The City of Vernon is advising residents of a revised construction schedule for the Rock Slope Stabilization Project.
To accommodate the seasonal bird migration and nesting period, some work originally planned for Eastside Road will be deferred to the fall. A revised schedule for this portion of the project will be shared closer to that time.
Updated Schedule Highlights
- 3100 block of 35 Street: Work is scheduled to begin Monday, May 26, and continue until Thursday, May 29. A full road closure will be in effect while construction is underway. Please plan alternate routes during this period.
- Apex Drive: This portion of the project is on hold for the immediate future. Further updates will be provided once new timelines are confirmed.
The City remains committed to completing the Rock Slope Stabilization Project with safety and environmental considerations in mind. Motorists are reminded to follow all traffic control measures and detour signs during construction.
