Share your ideas on housing, transportation, parks, trails, culture and community.
The City of Vernon is entering the next phase of public engagement for the development of the new Official Community Plan (OCP) and Transportation Plan (TP).
Residents are encouraged to take part in this important process and share their input on how we plan for the future of our community.
An online survey is now available at www.engagevernon.ca/ocp-tp for residents to provide feedback. The survey will remain open until the end of the day on Thursday, November 14.
For those who prefer a paper copy, surveys can be picked up at the Community Services Building (3001 32 Avenue). Paper copies must be returned to the same location by 4:30 p.m. on November 14.
As part of this engagement, the City will also be hosting an Open House on Thursday, November 7, from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Vernon Library / ORL Branch.
What is an Official Community Plan (OCP)?
The OCP sets the stage for our community’s long-term growth and development, shaping how planning and land use decisions will be made in Vernon.
What is a Transportation Plan (TP)?
The TP guides the investment into our future transportation system, including the development of new roads, public transit and cycling paths. Together, these blueprints provide the vision and policy direction for the next two decades for our community.
The City looks forward to hearing your feedback and working together to shape Vernon’s future.
