Request to fill ten (10) positions
The Council of the Corporation of the City of Vernon is seeking to fill ten (10) positions on the Economic Development Advisory Committee from any of the following sectors:
- Agriculture
- Community at Large
- Education
- Finance and Business Services
- Forestry and Logging
- Health Services
- Manufacturing and Production
- Retail
- Science and Technology
- Transportation and Warehousing
The Committee’s purpose is to provide recommendations to Council on policies and strategic initiatives that will further enhance Vernon as an ideal business and investment location. Membership on the committee is comprised of a total of 16 voting members who are appointed for a two (2) year term.
If you are interested in serving the community on this committee, you may pick up a copy of the Terms of Reference and a volunteer application form at Reception at City Hall or visit Council Committees. Applications will be accepted no later than 4:30 pm, Friday, March 20, 2015.
