Mayor Akbal Mund commended several Vernon residents on their performances at the 2015 Canada Winter Games, held in Prince George, B.C.
“I would like to congratulate all our athletes from Vernon who competed in the 2015 Canada Winter Games,” said Mayor Mund. “Special congratulations to Elena Gaskell on her two gold medals, and Patrick Dew and Hannah Mehain on their silver-medal showings at the Games. Also, for the coaches and parents of our fine young athletes, thank you for your encouragement and commitment to making their dreams become reality.”
