City to Launch Activate Safety Task Force

News

The City of Vernon will be launching a new task force to identify local issues and solutions to homelessness, criminal behaviour, addictions, public safety and the impact on the business community.

The Activate Safety Task Force, consisting of business representatives, members of the public who live in Vernon, local service providers, City of Vernon Councillors and other key stakeholders, will work to identify the concerns of the community and related issues and will develop a series of recommended actions for Council to consider. As part of this process, a survey will be undertaken with businesses to assist in identifying issues and solutions. It is expected that the survey will be undertaken in Spring 2018.
