Vernon RCMP volunteers will be in Polson Park for the next two days at the RCMP Command Post trailer to provide crime prevention tips on thefts from vehicles, personal safety, identity theft and more. Volunteers will be joined by two RCMP officers who are also promoting community safety and awareness.
The operation is designed to raise awareness and reduce crime through education visible RCMP volunteer presence in Vernon.
The RCMP volunteers are onsite from 9:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday.
The public is encouraged to stop by and ask questions or just to say hi.
