One-way streets now in effect on 28 and 29 Avenue

News

Vernon drivers are being reminded that one-way driving is now in effect on 28 and 29 Avenue. Please watch for the red and white No Entry signs and the One Way arrows showing the direction that drivers will have to travel.

On July 24, eleven parking stalls were moved from 30 Street to 28 Avenue and 29 Avenue. To ensure drivers can access the angled parking, these streets were designated as one way traffic.

Pedestrians crossing these streets will benefit from shorter crosswalks and by having traffic approaching from only one side.

The Pay & Display multi-space stations are due to be installed mid- to Late August. Until that time, temporary two-hour parking signs will be installed for the angled parking.
