The Emergency Social Services (ESS) reception centre located in the Dogwood Gym of the Vernon Recreation Centre will be changing hours from 9 a.m. - 7 p.m. beginning Monday, July 24. The current hours are 8 a.m. - 8 p.m. daily. Evacuees arriving after hours can call 250-309-0638.
Vernon ESS has registered 881 evacuees from the Cariboo region in the last week. Evacuees are reminded to visit the reception centre every week to extend services.
