Over the last few days, City crews have been attempting to make temporary road repairs to the flooded section of 48 Avenue near Hwy 97. The flooded road is a result of high water levels in BX Creek below Swan Lake. Flooding on 48 Avenue is expected to continue until water levels in the creek recede.
The City will be taking steps toward a long-term solution when the threat of flooding in Vernon has passed.
Motorists are advised to slow down and obey construction signage.
