The installation of Vernon's first Rainbow Crosswalk is set to move forward (weather permitting) on today (Thursday) from 4 to 9 p.m. However, should weather conditions change, the installation will move to Friday, beginning early in the morning until 11 a.m.
As a reminder to motorists, 30 Avenue will remain open until 6 p.m., with single-lane alternating traffic and on-street parking. After 6 p.m., 30 Avenue will be closed midblock. Should the crosswalk installation move to Friday morning, motorists should expect similar road conditions.
