Road Update
The City of Vernon has determined that the sink hole on 42 Avenue was likely due to a small section of damage on a concrete sanitary sewer main. Crews are continuing repairs to the sink hole that appeared over the long weekend. The road along 42 Avenue from 33 Street to Highway 97 will remain closed while repairs are completed. The City expects the road will be repaired and reopened to traffic by the end of the week.
