The City of Vernon’s next General Local Election will take place on Saturday, October 17, 2026. Eligible voters will elect:
- One Mayor and six Councillors to serve on Vernon City Council
- Four Trustees to serve on the School District No. 22 Board of Education
Voting is your opportunity to help determine the leadership and direction of our community for the next four years.

Work at the election
We're looking for reliable, community-minded people to join our election team and help make the 2026 Local Government Election a success. Election workers assist voters and support voting operations during Advance Voting and/or General Voting Day.
All positions are paid and mandatory training is provided. Applications will be accepted until all the positions are filled.
