Lake activities offered by the existing dock and swimming platform would be enhanced by creating a safe swimming area defined by buoys that allow hand launching of small non-motorized craft, log seating along the beach, and picnic tables in the trees and gravel paths that connect all the features.
The Lake Access immediately south of Hurlburt Park is a well-used dog walking/swimming area.
Dog owners are encouraged to use the parking lot, leash and lead their dog along a new trail to the Lake Access which is available for dogs to swim. A dispenser for dog waste bags and a garbage receptacle will accommodate dogs and their owners.
The park will be inder construction and not open for public access. We ask that the public respect that the park is closed until its official opening. Watch this space for more news.
