Construction on Kalamalka Lake Road will be postponed as work dependent on BC Hydro is currently delayed. BC Hydro has had to respond to the state of emergency in B.C., affecting projects such as the Kalamalka Lake Road reconstruction. The exact length of the delay is unknown at this time.
The anticipated completion for Phase 1 construction is August 6. Commencement of Phase 2 construction and the road closure on Kalamalka Lake Road from Browne Road to the City boundary is currently scheduled to begin August 8. BC Hydro will be providing a further update regarding timelines to the City of Vernon on July 21.
