Due to saturated field conditions, the City of Vernon is issuing the following playfield closures effective immediately:
- Marshall Field soccer fields closed and will reopen on Wednesday, April 19;
- Kin Race Track ball diamonds closed and will reopen on Wednesday, April 19;
- All other Vernon playfields closed and will reopen on Saturday, April 15.
The playing surfaces are exceptionally soft and can be easily damaged resulting in expensive repairs and long term field closures. The City thanks our residents and playfield users for their cooperation and their patience.
