Members of the downtown business community, service providers, and the Social Planning Council are coming together for a discussion session facilitated by Urban Matters, a consulting firm that specializes in supporting communities with innovations to address complex social issues. This meeting is focused on issues and concerns related to the impacts of homelessness within the Business Improvement Area (BIA).
The purpose of the meeting is to:
- Review issues and concerns within the BIA.
- Discuss new and upcoming programs and initiatives.
- Brainstorm potential actions for moving forward.
This is a facilitated discussion. Businesses in the BIA have been asked to RSVP with one representative to Urban Matters. Should interest exceed the capacity of the venue, a wait list will be developed.
Urban Matters will provide a report on the results of the meeting to City Council for its consideration.
