Update as of 2:59 p.m. on July 4: All traffic control signals affected by earlier power outages are again operational.
The City thanks everyone for their patience and understanding.
The City of Vernon would like to advise motorists of traffic signal outages occurring at multiple locations across the community due to recent power outages.
Until power can be restored, traffic signals will be out at the following locations:
- Kalamalka Lake Road at Pottery Road
- Kalamalka Lake Road at Husband Road
- Middleton Way at Mount Fosthall Drive
Motorists are asked to slow down and use extra caution when approaching the intersection. When traffic control signals are not in service, they must be treated as a four-way stop, as per the Motor Vehicle Act of British Columbia.
