The City advises that portions of 43 Avenue and 31 Street will be closed for a water main renewal project.
Construction is scheduled to begin on Tuesday, October 13, and will take place daily between 6:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with an expected completion date of Friday, November 6, 2026. The road will be closed in phases as outlined below:
Phase 1 (October 13 - 16)
43 Avenue between 32 Street and 29 Street, and 31 Street between 43 Avenue and 45 Avenue will be closed for approximately three days.
Phase 2 (Oct 13 – Nov 6)
31 Street between 43 Avenue and 45 Avenue will be closed for the remainder of the project. A detour will be in place along 45 Avenue and 29 Street. (Please refer to maps below).
Please note these timelines may change, if unforeseen circumstances arise.
Local traffic will continue to have access to nearby businesses and residences throughout the project.
Motorists should expect delays in the area, however, the City will make every effort to minimize disruptions. For the safety of workers and the public, drivers are asked to obey all traffic control signage and reduce speed when travelling through the work zone.
