Road updates: Line painting; 32 Avenue; 27 Street

Road Update

Line painting program

Phase one of the City of Vernon line painting program is near completion. Contactors will be finishing curbs and symbols and long-line painting (which includes centre lines and fog lines) is scheduled to begin May 24 between 10 p.m. and 7 a.m.

3100 Block of 32 Avenue paving

The City will be paving a service patch at 32 Ave between 31 St and 32 St. The paving process will be split into two phases to reduce the impact on traffic flow. Work is scheduled to begin on May 26 and is expected to take approximately two days to complete (weather dependent).

27 Street sewer main cleaning and inspection

The City will be conducting sewer main cleaning and inspection on 27 St between 36 Ave and 48 Ave from May 24 to June 3. The work will involve temporarily closing travel lanes during the hours of 7:30 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Traffic may be reduced to single lane in both directions. Although every reasonable effort will be made to minimize the disruption to traffic, motorists should be prepared for minor delays. We ask that the traveling public to be patient, slow down and obey all traffic control.
