The regional partners of the Vernon Regional Transit Service are committed to improving the service and ensuring its efficient operation. As part of a joint review, the processes for the shared aspects of the Transit Service were analysed leading to a new agreement being made regarding the shared costs and revenues.
One shared cost is the collection and processing of coins and shared revenues include tickets and passes. With the upcoming changes to the transit fares starting April 1, 2018, this agreement will be updated in March with the new shared unified transit fares.
