The Royal Canadian Legion Branch 25 (Vernon) in partnership with the City of Vernon will host the Remembrance Day ceremony on Sunday, November 11, at Kal Tire Place.
In addition to paying respect to the brave men and women who have given their lives on behalf of Canada in combat and due to combat-related injuries, this year’s observance marks 100 years since the signing of the armistice at 11 a.m. on November 11, 1918, which ended World War I.
The program is as follows:
Doors open 9:30 a.m.
Musical interlude 9:50 a.m.
Sentries fall in 10:20 a.m.
Parade of veterans 10:25 a.m.
Service begins 10:35 a.m.
One minute of silence 11:00 a.m.
