Greater Vernon Recreation Services is taking the next step in the development of a community child care space action plan and needs your help!

You are invited to attend an information and consultation session on Tuesday, January 14th. Two sessions will be provided in order to accommodate daytime and evening schedules.

In November 2019, a community survey was conducted to gather data about current and future child care needs in the Greater Vernon area. This was done to develop an action plan, which will provide guidance for community policies that support the creation and/or expansion of child care facilities over the next 10 years.

The upcoming consultation sessions will include the preliminary findings from that survey, as well as provide an opportunity for attendees to discuss areas of need and potential solutions.

The sessions are open to the public, as well as current service providers and support organizations. Attendees are encouraged to discuss the type of child care needed in the Greater Vernon area, as well as the location(s) of need.

Date:             Tuesday, January 14, 2020
Time:             2 - 4pm or 7 - 9pm
Location:     Vernon Recreation Centre
                       3310 37th Avenue, Vernon, BC
