The City of Vernon is reminding property owners that property taxes are due on July 3. Late payment of taxes will result in a 10 per cent penalty. Property owners are responsible for ensuring payment is received by the due date. Postmarks are not accepted as payment date. Call 250-550-3636 if you have not received your notice.
Payments can be made:
- in person at City Hall;
- at the drop box located at the main front entrance doors at City Hall;
- online services through your financial institution (Please allow 4-5 business days for the City to receive your payment); or
- by post-dated cheque presented in person or through the drop box.
In addition, property owners claiming the homeowner grant, if eligible, must apply by the July 3 due date to avoid the 10 per cent penalty.
Homeowner grants can be claimed online through the city's website at www.vernon.ca.
