Proof of Vernon residency required to purchase stayActive passes

News

Important changes are now in effect for residents and non-residents who purchase stayActive passes through Vernon Recreation Services.

Effective immediately, proof of ‘City of Vernon’ residency is required to purchase a 90-day, 180-day or an Annual stayActive Pass. These changes will be in effect until December 31.

The changes are necessary to manage program access in the lead up to new user fees and program access structure, (Vernon Resident Program) starting January 1, 2024.

Recreation Services users who do not live within the City of Vernon boundaries, are still able to access programs and services during this time. Access to the stayActive pass program for non-Vernon residents will resume in January 2024.

Proof of City of Vernon residency can be validated through government-issued photo ID with current ‘City of Vernon’ address and a supporting utility bill or tenant agreement, if your address isn’t up to date.

To confirm that you are a City of Vernon resident, you can check your address on the Electoral Jurisdiction map here.

Please watch for more information updates regarding the Vernon Resident Program and new user fee pricing.

The City of Vernon is committed to a workplace where everyone is safe and treated with courtesy, dignity and respect. Please be patient with staff as they work to administer this new process.
