The City of Vernon advises that paving work is scheduled to take place along 29th Street, between Highway 6 and 30th Avenue, beginning Tuesday, October 13.
Work is expected to continue through Saturday, October 24, weather and site conditions permitting.
Traffic control measures will be in place throughout the project, and motorists should expect delays in the area. View a map of the work area below.
Access to the 29th Street parking lot will be maintained via 29th Avenue, which will temporarily accommodate two-way traffic during construction. Traffic control personnel will be on-site during the work to direct traffic flow during the temporary two-way traffic change on 29th Avenue.
For the safety of workers and the public, motorists and pedestrians are reminded to obey all traffic control signage, follow the directions of traffic control personnel, and reduce speed when travelling through the work zone.
