Updated June 20, 2025: Due to severe thunderstorm warnings, the City has made the decision to postpone the event to prioritize everyone’s safety. Party for the Park has been rescheduled for Friday, July 18.

The City of Vernon is excited to invite the community to a special Party for the Park on Friday, June 20th, as we celebrate Phase 2 of the Polson Park Vernon Creek Naturalization Project. The celebration will take place in conjunction with the Polson Artisan Night Market, and we’ll be kicking things off starting at 3:30 p.m. in the heart of one of Vernon’s most cherished green spaces.

The event begins with remarks from City officials and project partners, highlighting the goals and benefits of the naturalization work, which aims to improve the ecological health and long-term sustainability of Vernon Creek and the surrounding areas.

RSVP to our free community event here.

Following the speeches, the park will come alive with family-friendly fun and entertainment, including:

  • A stage performance from Evan the Juggler
  • Live music from Duane Marchand, LooPS, and October Poppy
  • Bouncy castles, face painting, and a caricature artist
  • Swag giveaways and free food samples from the food trucks

We’re hosting this in conjunction with the Polson Artisan Night Market to add extra flair to the festivities, featuring a diverse selection of local vendors, artists, and makers offering handmade goods, treats, and treasures.
