Alternate downtown parking options are available while the 31st Avenue parking lot is partially closed to support construction of the Greater Vernon Cultural Centre (GVCC).
Approximately 50 stalls in the 31st Avenue parking lot remain open for hourly and daily parking. Signs and maps have been placed downtown to guide visitors to other nearby daily and hourly parking options, including:
- Parkade (31st Ave. and 33rd St. by the Vernon Public Art Gallery)
- 29 St. Lot (30th Ave. and 29th St. at the Library)
- Downtown street parking (2- and 4-hour parking meters)
- Other private parking lots

Drivers are asked to allow a few extra minutes to find a parking spot when they visit downtown to shop, dine or explore. The City appreciates the patience and flexibility of downtown visitors during the GVCC construction and will continue to monitor parking availability and share updates to help make downtown visits as easy as possible.
