The following News Release is being shared on behalf of the Armstrong Land Corp regarding an extension to construction activities at 1601 15th Street.
The northbound closure on 15th Street will remain in place until September 30, 2026, due to an extension of off-site works associated with the developer-led project at 1601 15th Street.
Northbound traffic on 15th Street will continue to be detoured via Highway 6 and Pottery Road, while southbound traffic will remain open. See the detour map below to help plan your commute.
Motorists should be aware that additional delays may be experienced along the detour route due to construction on Pottery Road and nearby streets related to a Regional District of North Okanagan water main upgrade project.
Motorists are encouraged to follow all posted signage and detour routes and allow extra time when travelling through the area.
The City of Vernon is sharing this information on behalf of the developer to ensure residents and motorists are aware of the extended closure and potential traffic impacts.
