The City of Vernon would like to advise the public of a handful of underground utilities projects that will take place next week, weather dependent, which will require temporary road closures and detours.
Work will take place on portions of the following roads:
- 31st Street (between 43rd Avenue and 49th Avenue)
- 25th Street (between 25th Avenue and 30th Avenue)
- 33rd Street (between 42nd Avenue and 43rd Avenue)
- 28th Avenue (west of 43rd Street)
Crews will be flushing and conducting CCTV work on a sanitary sewer main, which will require early morning work on 31st Street. Additionally, crews will be installing underground utilities in three areas of the city, which will require street closures. However, the areas will remain accessible to local traffic.
Every effort will be made to minimize disruption in the areas where work is taking place. The City apologizes for any inconvenience these disruptions may cause and appreciates everyone’s patience as the work is being completed.
