Kalamalka Rotary Club has invested in Vernon’s youth by providing a grant worth $25,000 to the City of Vernon for the development of a bike skills park that is being constructed in Becker Park this year. On hand to present the cheque to Mayor Akbal Mund were Brian Reid, Kalamalka Rotary Club past president (local donations chair) ; Nick MacDonald, director of North Okanagan Cycling Society (NOCS); and Daniel Poulin, president of the North Okanagan Cycling Society (NOCS).
Funding for the grant is courtesy of Kalamalka Rotary Club’s annual Dream Auction.
