If you're planning to celebrate Canada Day in Vernon, parking is easy! Downtown parking is free on statutory holidays, including Canada Day, so the community is encouraged to take advantage of the many public parking options throughout the downtown core.
Additional parking is available in the City Hall East and West parking lots (3400 30 Street) on a first-come, first-served basis. Spaces are limited.
Cycling to the festivities? A free bike valet will be available at Polson Park from 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., making it easy to ride to the event and securely park your bike.
Celebrate Canada Day at Polson Park
The VOICE Society (Vernon Okanagan Inspired Community Events) invites the community to celebrate on Wednesday, July 1, from 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Polson Park.
This free, family-friendly celebration features a full day of entertainment and activities for all ages, including:
- Live community performances beginning at noon
- The Polson Market featuring local artisans, makers, and community organizations
- A food truck garden with a variety of delicious options
- Free family activities, including a bouncy castle
- Fruit Fest with a free fruit giveaway (while supplies last)
- An OK Skate Co. skate competition at the Polson Skate Park
- An evening concert featuring local and regional artists, headlined by Hotel Mira at 8:00 p.m.
Admission is free. Bring your lawn chair, your appetite, and your community spirit for a full day of celebrating Canada Day in Vernon.
