The City is inviting residents and community groups to help shape the future of one of Vernon’s most cherished public spaces — Polson Park.
The Polson Park Revitalization Plan will create a long-term vision for the park. The goal is to guide future improvements so the park remains vibrant, inclusive and sustainable into the future for the people who live, work, and play in Vernon.
“Polson Park has long been one of Vernon’s most treasured gathering places, and I’m thrilled to see the revitalization plan move forward to help us build on the incredible improvements we have accomplished to date,” says Vernon Mayor Victor Cumming. “This plan will guide us in establishing clear priorities and investments over the next 20 years so Polson Park can remain a vibrant centrepiece of our community for years to come.”
As one of the City’s main destinations for recreation, culture and community connection, Polson Park welcomes thousands of residents and visitors each year. This phase of the project will focus on identifying and prioritizing improvements to park amenities, infrastructure, and natural areas. The goal is to ensure the park remains safe, accessible, and welcoming year-round.
The City wants to hear your ideas and visions for Polson Park. Whether you’re a frequent park user, a nearby business owner, or just discovering the park for the first time, your collective input will directly influence future decisions around amenities, accessibility, safety, natural features and cultural spaces.
