The City of Vernon is inviting residents to explore recreation opportunities for the season ahead with the release of its refreshed Fall Recreation Guide, now available online and at community locations throughout Vernon.
The guide features information on upcoming programs, activities, registration dates, and also includes some highlights from the City's recent recreation engagement survey, which gathered community input to help inform future programming at the Active Living Centre when it opens.
Pick up a copy or view online
Residents can view the guide online at vernon.ca/recreation or pick up a printed copy at:
- Vernon Recreation Centre
- Kal Tire Place
- Okanagan Regional Library (Vernon Branch)
- Vernon City Hall
- Village Green Shopping Centre
These convenient community pick-up locations provide residents with flexible ways to explore recreation opportunities and stay informed about upcoming programs.
Registration opens soon
Fall program registration opens at 7:30 a.m. on Monday, August 10 for Vernon Residency Program members.
Registration for residents of surrounding communities who are not part of the Vernon Residency Program opens Friday, August 21, at 7:30 a.m.
Residents are encouraged to review the guide and log in to their recreation accounts before registration day to ensure their information is up to date. Those who do not have an account set up yet should visit the Vernon Recreation Centre to set one up prior to registration day.

This season's program lineup includes:
- A variety of fitness and wellness classes
- Sports leagues and gymnasium programs
- Youth and after-school activities including home alone and babysitters’ courses
- Early childhood programs and holiday camps
- Lifesaving and lifeguard training courses
