Residents are invited to attend the City of Vernon’s Inaugural Council Meeting and Swearing-In Ceremony on Monday, November 2, 2026, at Creekside Conference Centre.
Doors will open at 6:15 p.m., with the official meeting beginning at 6:30 p.m. During the event, Mayor-elect Kari Gares and the newly elected members of Council will be formally sworn in, marking the start of their four-year term serving the community.
The meeting is expected to be one hour in length, with refreshments served afterward.
