With the available parking being limited while the expansion project is under construction, the public attending the Remembrance Day service at Kal Tire Place are reminded to plan to arrive early and are encouraged to car pool. Disabled parking stalls are now located in the new parking lot south of the building along 43rd Avenue. For this event, parking lot attendants will be on site to offer assistance and additional temporary disabled parking stalls will be in place in the parking lot east of the facility.
Due to the construction, the lower north player’s entrance is currently not as accessible as it has been in the past. The public is encouraged to drop off those individuals with mobility issues at the main entrance on the east side of the facility before proceeding to a parking stall. Doors will open at 9:30 am and the service will start at 10:15 am. The City of Vernon and the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 25 would like to remind the public to be patient and remain courteous to other drivers while entering and exiting the facility.
