Expression of Interest
The City of Vernon is pleased to announce an exciting opportunity for businesses and service providers to become part of the new Active Living Centre (ALC) — a state-of-the-art, inclusive recreation facility currently under construction.
The City is accepting Expressions of Interest (EOI) from qualified businesses or organizations interested in leasing commercial retail space within the ALC. These high-visibility spaces offer prime opportunities to serve a dynamic and growing community. Available lease opportunities include:
Sports medicine and health and wellness services:
- Two 850 sq ft spaces (or one 1,700 sq ft combined unit)
Food and beverage services:
- 176 sq ft concession space, with 77 sq ft storage and access to a 400 sq ft shared seating area
About the ALC
Located at 3501 43rd Avenue, the ALC is expected to welcome over 500,000 visitors annually, providing exposure for businesses looking to grow in a thriving, health-focused environment. The EOI submission period closes on July 15. To learn more and apply, visit the City’s online portal.
ALC facility features include:
- 50-metre pool, leisure pool, waterslide, and other aquatics amenities
- Double gymnasium and fitness centre with an indoor walking track
- Eight family-friendly, accessible multi-purpose rooms
- Net-zero ready infrastructure and Rick Hansen Gold Certification
The ALC is set to become a major hub for recreation, events, and family activity, serving both residents and visitors of Greater Vernon. Construction began in spring 2024, and the facility is anticipated to open in fall 2026. For more information about the project, visit vernonalc.ca.
