Staff from the City of Vernon donated $1,460 to the Upper Room Mission as part of the City’s Jeans Day program. The money will be used to build storage sheds that can be used by homeless people in our community to safely store belongings.
City staff can pay $1 per week for the option of wearing jeans to work. Each year, the Jeans Day money is pooled and donated to a local agency that provides services within the community.
