Construction along 48th Avenue (between 29th Street to HWY 97) continues as part of the City’s investment in infrastructure and active transportation, which helps make Vernon a great place to live.
The project includes a new drainage culvert, road improvements and multi-use pathway on the north side of 48th Avenue. The third portion (“Stage B”) of the project is under construction and is planned to be completed by mid-July.
Construction in the intersection of 48th Ave and Anderson Way is scheduled to take place between now and the middle of July. Traffic access to Anderson Way from 48th Avenue will be limited during this time.
Vehicles are encouraged to access Anderson Way from 27th Street.
The City reminds road users to obey all traffic control signs and to slow down in work zones. The City appreciates road users’ patience as this project is completed.
