On September 9, the City of Vernon closed its ESS Reception Centre that had been activated in response to the White Rock Lake wildfire. Residents who are seeking information or need further assistance related to impacts from the White Rock Lake fire are asked to contact their respective municipal, regional district or First Nation's office.
The City would like to thank every volunteer, staff member, local service provider and community organization that helped make the reception centre operation possible and provided caring and compassionate service for those who have faced incredibly difficult circumstances.
